A first day cover (FDC) for two stamps released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the publication of "Anne of Green Gables". The stamp featuring Anne was illustrated by Ben Stahl and the one featuring Green Gables was illustrated by Christopher Kovacs. Stahl had also been commissioned to create 36 paintings for all of the covers and short stories by L.M. Montgomery. This was a joint issue with Japan.

A commemorative quarter depicting a coloured Ben Stahl's Anne on the face. The card uses Christopher Kovac's illustration of Green Gables. Both men illustrated stamps for Canada Post Corporation and these illustrations are also used for the coin. Stahl had also been commissioned to create 36 paintings for all of the covers and short stories by L.M. Montgomery. Both the stamps and the coin were commemorating "Anne of Green Gables" being in print for 100 years.
